It all started with a bet. My girlfriend bet me that I couldn't get this handsome guy at work to notice me and ask for his number. Challenge accepted!

We both worked in construction, and one day I spotted him walking towards the smoking area. Across the field, our eyes met, and for a moment, it felt like the world stood still. Completely distracted, I confidently walked straight into a steel pole and landed flat on the ground with a concussion! I guess you could say I literally fell for him. The best part? I ended up with both a concussion and his phone number.

That unexpected, hilarious moment became the beginning of our love story. Twenty-one years later, we're still together, stronger than ever, and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters.

Looking back, I'd happily walk into that pole all over again, because it led me to the love of my life.
